GENERAL PURPOSE:

Tech4Life Enterprises is seeking a skilled Software Manager to lead and oversee the software development team. The role involves managing multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery, maintaining high-quality standards, and supporting the technical growth of the team. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with leadership and project management skills to drive innovation and efficiency in all software initiatives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and execute the software development roadmap aligned with business objectives and future technology trends.
Lead innovation initiatives to enhance scalability, performance, and usability of software systems.
Lead the integration of software and hardware technologies, ensuring compatibility, performance optimization, and seamless data exchange.
Coordinate between hardware engineers, firmware developers, and software teams to ensure system stability and interoperability.
Oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) — from planning and architecture to deployment and maintenance.
Plan, manage, and monitor multiple software projects from initiation to completion.
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in alignment with business objectives.
Oversee the design, architecture, coding, testing, and deployment of software solutions.
Ensure adherence to coding standards, documentation, and best practices.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including hardware, product, and quality assurance departments.
Manage timelines, resources, and budgets effectively.
Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
Conduct regular code reviews and performance evaluations of team members.
Report project progress and key metrics to senior management.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks (such as Laravel, and Magento)
Solid understanding of software architecture, databases, and API integrations.
Proven experience in agile project management and version control systems (e.g., Git).
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in healthcare technology or IoT-based applications.
Solid knowledge and experience in programming applications.
Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks (such as Laravel, and Magento)
Cross-browser compatibility, Web User Interface Design (UI), Security Principles, Object-Oriented Design, Web Services (REST/SOAP)
