Rural Health Facilities in Balochistan to use Telemedicine and Artificial Intelligence to Improve Access to Health Services
People’s Primary Healthcare Initiative (PPHI) Balochistan and Tech4Life Enterprises signed a long-term partnership to introduce Telehealth, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Digital Health Solutions for Rural Healthcare in Balochistan.The partnership will bring groundbreaking, innovative, and cost-effective technology solutions to primary healthcare facilities mainly BHUs in Balochistan to empower the frontline health workers and connect them with the Telemedicine Nerve Center in Quetta for quick consultation.
A five-year strategic partnership between PPHI-B and Tech4Life Enterprises was signed by the CEO of PPHI-B Dr. MB Raja Dharejo and the CEO of Tech4Life Dr. Shariq Khoja, in the presence of other senior officers and Board members from both organizations. Both the CEOs emphasized the importance of collective innovation and smart implementation of Telehealth Solutions, AI in Healthcare, and Digital Healthcare in the remotest parts of the province to achieve maximum impact.
The program will enable Telehealth consultations in the field of general medicine, maternal and child health, ENT, dermatology, infectious diseases, ophthalmology, cardiology, and mental Health. Tech4Life Enterprises, a leading organization in Telehealth and AI around the world, will closely work with PPHI-Balochistan to ensure that the benefit of technology implementation reaches the rural population in the form of reduced travel, better healthcare accessibility, immediate care improved quality, and Empowerment of health workers across the province.
During the first phase of this partnership, 184 primary health facilities are being connected through advanced Telehealth devices, AI, and Satellite connectivity with the hub facility in Quetta. Subsequent phases of the program will connect all the remaining health facilities to ensure access to healthcare in all parts of the province. The partnership will improve the lives of over 15 million people living in the province and will also set an example of large-scale Telehealth and AI implementation for other parts of the country.
